ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA (3 June 2026) — Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia JSC (TDB) has officially joined the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP).
The collaboration is strategically important for supporting Mongolia’s foreign trade and supply chains, while promoting the adoption of international standards and best practices across the banking and financial sector.
ADB’s TSCFP supports trade through practical solutions such as trade finance, bank guarantees, risk-mitigation instruments, as well as training and capacity-building initiatives. Since 2009, the program has provided financing equivalent to USD 74 billion across more than 100,000 trade transactions worldwide.
The current international landscape is further highlighting the need for banks and financial institutions to pursue more flexible solutions and explore new partnership opportunities. In this context, by deepening its cooperation with ADB, TDB is elevating its international partnerships to a new level and opening up opportunities to deliver more competitive and efficient trade finance solutions to its clients. This collaboration represents a forward-looking initiative that brings tangible benefits, including cost optimization and enhanced operational efficiency.
As Mongolia’s one of the leading commercial banks, TDB continues to foster stable, long-term partnerships with around 300 foreign banks and financial institutions and actively supports major projects and programs for sustainable development of Mongolia.
