Mongolian citizen:

Valid ID or valid Passport
The reference of the ID card obtained from the kiosk in case the original documents are not available

Foreign citizen:

Valid passport
Residence permit in Mongolia
Not required for travel visas
Not mandatory for foreign citizens with a contract or job description confirming the business occupation

You can temporarily close or re-open your card through online banking.
If you are in a foreign country:
You can contact TDB at (976) 70161988, viber 99001977, we chat 99001977, skype tdb info and email [email protected] to temporarily block your card. You can also temporarily close or re-open your card through Online Banking.

Log in to the card section of your online bank and select "get pin code" to receive a new pin code to your mobile phone number registered in the bank (cards other than UnionPay cards are available)
If you do not have an online bank, fill out the form by sending an email to [email protected] from your registered email address, or contact the branch to get a new PIN code.

You should carefully check the availability and reliability of the website from which you are purchasing the goods and services. Mandatory information includes card number, CVV code and card validity period. If the website you are going to make a transaction with has implemented the "Verified by VISA/Unionpay/Mastercard" service, you can use your card's Internet PIN code to make the transaction.

A card confiscated at an ATM of a foreign bank is not returned to the customer under the International Visa procedure, and you will need to get a new card. For this purpose, you can send your request to get a card again to the TDB address [email protected] from the e-mail address registered with the bank.

Union Pay card is unique in that it can be used to connect 3 accounts: MNT, USD, and CNY on one card. If you use your card in Mongolia, the transaction will be made from the MNT account, if you use it in China, from the RMB account, and in other countries, the transaction will be made from the USD account.
