‘Forbes Mongolia,’ ‘Forbes Mongolian Women’ magazine and Bloomberg TV Mongolia’s Economists’ Club co-organized an event ‘Forbes Mongolia Women’s Summit’ on December 5. Aimed to increase women’s involvement and support their leadership, the event attracted economists, freelance experts and women, who work in the managerial positions in social, business and political spheres. The participants shared views on how to resolve challenges encountered by women when doing business in the country.

Today, the oldest commercial bank in Mongolia, Trade and Development Bank, and the Mongolian Football Federation signed a 3-year cooperation contract. Under the contract, TDB is giving one billion MNT to MFF to fund the currently building FIFA standard stadium’s supporting structures. And a small part of it will cover the expenses of the National Team, such as equipment and gears.

The currently building football pitch will become the biggest FIFA standard pitch in Mongolia with 73x115 meters. Mongolian national team has gotten stronger in the last few years and for the first time in history, reached the 2nd round of World Cup qualifying matches. The national team will play against Myanmar on the 19th of November. We believe besides the team’s hard work, dedication, and efforts, support from the fans and national companies are also plays a significant role. 

TDB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation with Achilles Mongolia NGO for three years to promote social contributions and support people with disabilities.

In the scope of the cooperation, TDB is becoming a general sponsor, and its employees are partaking in the international marathon, which organized under "Hope and Possibility" slogan since 2015. The primary purpose of the marathon is to encourage, motivate, and provide self-confidence to people with disabilities.

Representatives of Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia attended the Green Investment Principles (GIP) First Plenary Meeting and the New Energy Forum for the Belt and Road that were held in Beijing between 15th of August to 17th of August, 2019. More than 150 representatives from Chinese and British governments and regulatory agencies, GIP signatories, international organizations and third-party organizations attended the meeting and shared their experiences. Since its release in November 2018, GIP has received enthusiastic response from the global financial community. As of August 2019, 30 large financial institutions around the world have signed up to GIP. To support the implementation of the principles, secretariat as well as working groups were established to develop tools and guidelines.

Our kids are our future. Therefore, Trade and Development Bank (TDB) has initiated CSR project called "Boundless Dreams" which aimed for helping and supporting children to grow and learn in a healthy environment with the right support, study materials and ultimately become a responsible and healthy citizen of Mongolia.

TDB supported JCI Mongolia's "Save Angels" project, which aimed to reduce infant mortality for the third year. We donated six infant incubators to "Amgalan Maternity Hospital" of Bayanzurkh district in this year's project.

Under the project, participants also donated X-Ray apparatus, printing apparatus, jaundice instrument and photo apparatus of jaundice as well as furnished treatment room according to the standard. In the maternity hospital, about 200-300 infants are born annually, and 21 infants died in 2018.

Under the "Boundless Dreams" campaign Trade and Development Bank aimed to improve general education schools' library, enrich with books, prevent children from crimes, provide financial education to children and develop comfortable learning conditions for disabled children.

Trade and Development Bank organized the biggest children party for the children on June 2nd, 2019 and about 50 thousand children and parents participated in the biggest party.

On this day, many children won the gifts of the biggest children’s party, which organized with full of adventurous and surprises. In detail, 3 children won the super prize, which to travel Hong-Kong, Macau, Disneyland with their family and they finally returned to home country fully satisfied.

On the occasion of International Children’s Day, Trade and Development Bank hosted “Maamuu with Saving” event with children and youths on Sukhbaatar Square, June 2nd. Around 50 thousand children and parents gathered and celebrated the biggest Children’s Day event with many surprises and lucky draws. During the event, everything was free including food, beverages, recreation areas, games, toys, and live performances.

The biggest surprise was the lucky draw which 3 kids won the voucher to travel to Hong Kong and Macau to visit Disneyland with their families and 9 kids won 1 million MNT saving-account.

Trade and Development Bank has a tradition of volunteering against climate change and desertification in every year. In this year, employees of TDB visited in the tree nursery field of Erdene, Tuv province and watered 6,000 trees in the 5th year of our partnership with My Club NGO.

TDB has been continuously supporting and cooperating with "My Club" NGO within the framework of its social responsibility since 2015. During this time, TDB staff participated in the planting and irrigation of 51,000 trees.

Trade and Development Bank focuses on supporting children’s education, health improvement projects. Part of our CSR we started Dream Corner project of Rotaract Club of Nairamdal to redecorate and improve conditions of teaching rooms of Special 186th kindergarten, special 25th school and Center against violence and abuse's children's facility rooms.

TDB has been successfully implementing various projects and programs aimed at investing future of young generations to become as healthy and knowledgeable Mongolian citizen. One example is that TDB initiated and planned to encourage students’ education by developing as well as enriching libraries of general education schools.

The book selection was made at the request of the school teachers and librarians, and in addition to the important and useful booklets to develop students' education there were also many books for the development of teachers’ skills. The bookcase with the same shape as the map of Mongolia is a symbol of "preparing and teaching knowledgeable citizens of Mongolian”. Since May 2018, the project contributed significantly to the education of more than 50,000 students.

The Trade and Development Bank, in honor of its 28th anniversary, has begun furnishing 28 libraries of secondary schools contributing to the  intellectual and educational seeds of the future children and youth of Mongolia. As the framework of this initiative, the library of 1st secondary school of Zamiin-Uud soum was furnished today with lots of interesting books.

The Trade and Development Bank, in honor of its 28th anniversary, has begun furnishing 28 libraries of secondary schools contributing to the  intellectual and educational seeds of the future children and youth of Mongolia. As a commencement of this work, 52nd Secondary School Library was furnished with the most need books. This time, we furnished the library of complex school “ERDMIIN KHUTUCH 58” with various interesting books.

The book is a bridge to discovering and discovering the world of children and young people who define the development of their homeland. To this end, TDB is planning to modernize and enrich its 28 secondary school libraries by the 28th anniversary.

As a commencement of this work, 52nd Secondary School Library is presented bookshelf with books that are useful to students. Bookshelf is designed as map of Mongolia which was very attractive. The selected books were world and Mongolian classics, and fairy tales that were aimed for the students' cognitive and mental development. The books were also good guide for personal development of educators and staff.

TDB traditionally celebrates the holiday of its little customers every year. This year, we planned age-appropriate gift for our little savings account holders, and kicks off the "MAAMUU CHILDREN’S DAY" with 3 to 6-year-olds.  This children's celebration was organized in collaboration with the national content company Mongolia Content LLC in Bayangol Restaurant.

As part of the `` Together for Happy Moments '' campaign, we have organized Taipo class to high school students and teacher in cooperation with local NGO “Mongol Aguulga” on May 13, 2018.

Writing is an art that relaxes person’s attention while driving it on only one point. By doing so, muscles get relaxed, stress is relieved and gives high aesthetic feeling to person. This course is designed to instill confidence in each child and to unlock their talents, which will enable the children to learn to write, to study regularly, to develop themselves and earn from what they learn. “Mongol Aguulga NGO organizes training of calligraphy and typography to amateurs and the art works of graduates are presented to the public.

On May 8, the TDB joined Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2018 by the initiative of its staff and President of TDB Mr. Medree received trophy. Organization of such international marathon at the Capital city level will promote healthy citizens and healthy lifestyle among the inhabitants. This is why TDB has widely supported the event. 

Trade and Development Bank, in honour of its 28th anniversary, continues its corporate social responsibilities' work of improving and enriching the 28 libraries across the country. According to the project, the library of 65th school has been refurbished and enriched with many interesting books.

TDB Mongolia has supported the third phase of the initiative by JCI Mongolia called "SAVE LIFE" which aims to reduce the infant mortality as part of SDG 17 of United Nation. It is our effort to seek solutions to the key social issues in Mongolia.

In the third phase of the project, an extension section made for infant surgical intensive care unit of National Maternal and Child Healthcare Center and handed over equipment, which are fitted with an international standards. In the opening ceremony, Orkhon O CEO of TDB announced that TDB would continually support “SAVE LIFE” project as well as express gratitude and wish the high achievement to members of the project.

Ministry of Health, National Center of Blood Analysis and Transfusion, Mongolian Red Cross Association and World Health Organization successfully cooperated and organized “Let’s Present Life for Others by Donating Blood” arrangement in Sukhbaatar Square.

With the intention of advertising and enlarging range of blood donors, TDB appreciated and present gifts for active blood donors due to the virtuous act of donating blood, which is precious hope of saving life.

“Мy Club” online club is a voluntary organization that works to inform the youth on ecology, environmental protection, and encourage them to participate in planting, and watering trees through youth partnership. The club, since its founding in 2007, has been able to engage thousands of young people in planting, watering and caring for trees in Songinokhairkhan and Baganuur districts of Ulaanbaatar city, Erdene soum of Tuv province, Bayannuur soum of Bulgan province, Sukhbaatar city of Selenge province, and Hamariin hiid temple of Dornogovi province. The participation of the youth increased every year, and by 2016, 2232 people have participated in the cause compared to 773 people in 2009.

Asian Development Bank approved project agreement for loan 3338-MON “Supporting the Credit Guarantee System for Economic Diversification and Employment Project” to disburse 60 mil. MNT to the Mongolian government in December, 2015. Trade and Development Bank was selected as the partnering bank to implement this project with Credit Guarantee Fund and signed a cooperation agreement on 29th of September, 2017.

The health and education of our children, the future of Mongolia, are inarguably the most important issues our society faces today. That is why Trade and Development Bank supports and partners with all activities towards children.

Mongolians celebrated the historically significant national holiday Naadam with much joy and jubilance. The opening of the Naadam was festive and splendid at the National Stadium. We have organized “Junior Customers” event for our eighteen-year-old customers on 2nd of June to help them towards their dreams and goals. As for this year’s event, we invited 200 of our eighteen-year-old customers with savings accounts to Tuushin hotel and spent a memorable day together with meetings, lectures, performance, and food.
